Vitacress Salads - New Build & Refurbishment Packaging Plant
Cliftons Projects have been appointed by Vitacress Salads Ltd as Contracts Administrators, Client CDM Advisor and Cost Consultant to the next phase of the multi phased redevelopment of their Andover food production facility.
The project, to be procured through a Design & Build form of Contract, is to convert an existing warehouse facility into a salad packaging plant with a contract value of circa £4m excluding equipment. The project has been split into multiple phases to ensure the existing food production facility is kept running and the project duration is expected to be 18 month in total.
Cliftons Projects were also been asked by Vitacress to assist in the procurement and cost control for the post contract equipment to be installed in the facility once completed. The equipment has a value of circa £6m
The project has been subject to some contractural difficulties however the project has now been handed over and the packaging processing building is now in full operation.
We provided the client with full and detailed advise during the contractural difficulties experienced part way through the build which allowed the project to be completed within budget albeit over the original programme duration.
