Cliftons Projects have been appointed by the University of Southampton to act as Client Representative for the part new build extension and part refurbishment of the University's existing Jubilee Sports Centre on their Highfield campus.
Now completed, the project will bring the existing Sports Hall up to Sports England standard and will deliver a range of team sports to club standard. There will be five main areas of use:
Sports including basketball, netball, Badminton, five-a-side football, five-a-side hockey, volleyball, table tennis and fencing
Fitness training for a range of sports
Trampolining
New changing rooms & showers
New catering facilities
The project has been procured through SCAPE framework under a Design & Build form of contract with an overall project value of £34m
