Cliftons Projects is proud to announce our engagement in conducting a comprehensive drone inspection of over 50 buildings at the University of Southampton's Highfield Campus. This initiative is part of our commitment to support the University's long-term maintenance and future project planning efforts through the creation of a detailed photographic inventory.
Our task was to compile an extensive visual documentation, aiding the University in identifying and confirming maintenance requirements for their Long Term Maintenance (LTM) programme and in planning upcoming capital projects.
Utilising advanced drone technology, we have captured approximately 16,000 high-resolution images, culminating in a precise 3D representation of the campus architecture, accessible through an expansive campus-wide map. Our innovative software empowers licensed users to meticulously examine individual buildings or specific architectural elements, such as facades or roofs. This feature is invaluable for spotting potential issues, including blocked gutters, without the need for physical site visits, costly access equipment, or permits to work.
