Promega - Solar Tree Installation

Cliftons Projects have been appointed by Promega, a Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology research company, to provide Project Management, Contracts Administration, Cost Consultancy and Planning Consultancy advice for the installation of 12 solar canopies within their existing car park.

The decorative canopies, also called trees, are coated in a specialist Bradleys paint finish, will support bespoke glass solar panels which provide power to the 3 number car charging stations in the existing car park and contribute to the electrical load for Promega's office.

Working with ArchitecturePLB, we are developing the canopies through planning & detailed design with the intention of commencing the installation in Q2-3 2023.

We are also providing a service to our client to manage the installation of the solar trees which has negated the need to engage a main contractor. Promega are engaging the specialist contractor directly with Cliftons Projects co-ordinating and managing the works on site.

The specialist contractors are:

Fabricators (to include specialist Bradleys coatings and transport)
Groundworks
Electrical to include solar PV specialist and EV charge points.
