Enhancing Critical Care: Refurbishment of Key Areas at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington

We are delighted to be working alongside Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust to deliver a refurbishment of key areas within the Advanced Intensive Care Unit (AICU) at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington. This transformative project focuses on enhancing visitor and family comfort, ensuring that those supporting critically ill loved ones have access to improved, welcoming, and functional spaces.

As Project Managers from RIBA Stages 3 to 6, Cliftons Projects is overseeing the successful delivery of these essential upgrades. Working in collaboration with Christopher Smith Associates, who are also acting as Cost Consultants, we are ensuring the project is efficiently managed, cost-effective, and tailored to the needs of patients, families, and medical teams.

Refurbishing for Comfort, Care & Wellbeing

St Mary’s Hospital, a renowned acute care facility and one of London’s four major trauma centres, provides life-saving critical care to some of the most seriously ill patients. This refurbishment project will enhance key areas within the existing AICU, with a particular focus on improving family and visitor spaces, creating a more calming and supportive environment for those who need it most.

This much-needed upgrade is being charity-funded, made possible by the generosity of donors who recognise the importance of holistic, patient-centred care. Their contributions will help transform essential areas into modern, comfortable, and functional spaces that allow families to stay close and feel supported during difficult times.
