A Sanctuary for Birth From the outset, Cliftons Projects worked closely with the Trust’s midwifery team and key stakeholders to develop a space that met the needs of both patients and healthcare professionals. The completed facility included a range of carefully considered features aimed at enhancing comfort and reducing stress during labour:

Family-friendly accommodation – Allowing loved ones to stay close before, during, and after birth.
Birthing pools – Offering a water-based pain management alternative for a more natural delivery.
