The symbolic ground breaking ceremony took place at Promega's UK headquarters in the Chilworth Science Park, Southampton on the 6th June for the installation of their 12 solar canopies (trees) in the car park opposite their office. Using the ceremonial spade, Promega's board directors Derek McCall, Sean Donnelly & Deborah Bell took turns in breaking ground to official mark the commencement of this existing project.
The project is due to take 3 months to complete with the groundworks phase and fabrication of the solar 'trees' now underway.
The ceremony was also attended by Rob Holmes Promega's Facilities Manager, Malcolm Wright & Declan O'Riordan of Cliftons Projects and finally Paul Conway of Architecture PLB.
