Infection Control Measures
With burns treatment, infection control is vital. Cliftons Projects worked closely with Infection Control and the Health Protection Agency to establish a positive/negative pressure regime:
Negative pressure in certain rooms prevents contaminants from escaping.
Positive pressure in other areas protects patients by keeping external contaminants out.
Cliftons Projects’ Role
As Project Managers and Client Representatives, Cliftons Projects led each stage of the refurbishment, from gathering user requirements to managing the design and construction process. Key responsibilities included:
User Brief Development Defining requirements with healthcare teams to tailor the unit to specific patient needs.
Design Team Assembly Bringing together a skilled design team to create a safe, modern treatment environment.
Project Management Overseeing the project’s progress, ensuring it met NHS standards, stayed on budget, and was delivered on time.
