Southampton Centre for Cancer Immunology
Cliftons Projects are appointed to act as Clients’ Representatives by the University of Southampton to manage the construction of a circa 4,100m2 £23m research centre at the University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust.
The project is a joint venture between the two organisations under a Development Agreement with the funding and use of the building coming from the University and the land/space being made available by the Trust.
The project is being run under the NHS framework Procure 21+ which Cliftons Project are experienced in and advising the University on the implementation of this procurement system. The project has been highly successful being delivered on programme and within the budget target cost which has triggering the P21+ pain/gain mechanism to the financial benefit of both contractor and client.
The scheme is complete and now fully occupied by a team of dedicated researchers who are working hard to fine the cure for cancer utilising the body's own unique immune system.
